FAMU Libraries: Government Documents Collection

Government Documents

The Government Documents Department receives documents distributed by the U. S. Government Publishing Office/GPO Access service through its Federal Depository Library Program. The collection is arranged by the Superintendent of Documents classification system. The bulk of the print copies are on open shelves on the 2nd floor Coleman Annex. Titles issued in microform or electronic media formats (e.g. CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, video, etc.) are located in room 207 Coleman Library.

The Department is also responsible for a few titles from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), agricultural government agencies, and state agricultural cooperative or extension programs.

All of the collection is available for public use. Some titles may be restricted to "In library use only" depending on their format, currency, or status.
