Study Spaces

The rooms and study tables shown below are available on a first come, first serve basis, with the exception of the Digitization Suite and the Presentation Practice Room. The Digitization Suite and the Presentation Practice Room must be reserved using the online room reservation system. Additional study tables, carrels, and seating spaces, are located throughout the Library. If you witness any type of disruptive, or disturbing, event, please call the Information Desk at 850-599-3376. If there is an emergency, which requires police and/or medical response, please call the FAMU Police Department at 850-599-3256.

 

 

Group Study Rooms

 

 

Group study rooms are available on all floors in Coleman Library.

Most rooms on the 2nd floor Annex have a computer for students to use.

Use of group study rooms require a minimum of 3 students for each room.

Digitization Suite Room 216

 

 

Room may be reserved online for a period of two hours.

Equipped with digital production software, Open Office and Adobe Cloud Suite.

No food or drink allowed.

Third Floor - Quiet Study Zone

 

The third floor of the Library is a Quiet Study Zone.

Talking and cell phone use are not permitted.

Computers are available in the Reading Room, on the third floor.

Individual Study Rooms 1st Floor Annex & 3rd Floor Main

 

Individual study rooms are available on the 1st floor Library Annex and the 3rd floor Main side.

One student is allowed per room.

The area is a quiet study zone. Talking is prohibited.

Presentation Practice Room 208

 

Room may be reserved online for a period of two hours.

Equipped with a data projector, a smart board, and two writing boards.

No food or drink allowed.

Study Lounge Room 211

 

Food is permitted in the Student Study Lounge.

Snack and soda machines are located in an adjoining room.

Two wall mounted writing boards are available.
